Danville officers working a crime suppression effort in town Tuesday identified and arrested two suspected car thieves found in a car stolen earlier in the day from the Pittsburg BART station.

Lt. Allan Shields reported that officers made contact with a pair identified as Holly Webster, 22, of Martinez, and Raymond Pattillo, 34, of Concord in the 3100 block of Fostoria Way at around 11:47 a.m.

Pattillo was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for violation of the terms of his Post-Release Community Supervision (PRCS), according to Shields. Webster was found to have drug paraphernalia on her person, resulting in her arrest on probation violation and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The car the pair were in was found to have been stolen from the Pittsburg BART station and also had stolen license plates from another vehicle, according to police. Both Webster and Pattillo were booked into the Martinez Detention Facility.

Shields said his department was pleased with the initial results of a concerted effort to combat a recent spike in property crime in town.

“Getting the extra resources into the community allows us the opportunity to make contacts that can lead to arrests,” he said. “This, along with the heightened awareness and care being exhibited in the community, will help bring the level of property crimes down in Danville.”
