Orinda escaped most of the criminal escapades faced by some of its neighbors this last week, managing to keep crime and burglars in check except for a high profile burglary captured on home surveillance cameras and widely circulated on social media.
The trio involved in that break-in have yet to be caught, we are told, but Orinda investigators are working to bring those responsible for it and other property crimes to justice.

Residential Burglary

Auto Burglary
- Jan. 8 – 2:11 p.m., Miramonte High School
Identity Theft
- Jan. 5 – 10:50 a.m., 300 block Dalewood Dr.
Accidents
- Jan. 4 – Misdemeanor Hit and Run, 2:42 p.m., Glorietta Blvd. and Moraga Way
