Serial Stickup Man Returns, Robs Walnut Creek 7-Eleven Store Wednesday

A ski-masked gunman police believe is responsible for a string of robberies in Walnut Creek, San Leandro and Redwood City re-visited Walnut Creek Wednesday – robbing the N. Civic 7-Eleven store and making off with an undetermined amount of money.

Police said the adult male suspect, who they believe may be Asian, entered the store at 11:33 p.m. Wednesday, brandished a handgun at the victim/employee and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the cash register before fleeing on foot.

A police perimeter and canine team brought in to help track the suspect found no trace of the gunman, according to police.

Suspect Description

  • Adult, possibly Asian, unknown age, 5′ 6″ with stocky build, last seen wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, grey sweatpants and black ski mask. Carrying a silver handgun.

  1. That’s not a ski mask. It’s used more for burglary, I think. It is not waterproof. It will not stop a baseball bat nor a bullet from entering the skull. It’s a weak defense. This is a desperate man with no future. Find him before he hurts somebody.
