NOTE: From Moraga Town Manager Jill Keimach, who will be leaving Moraga for a new position in Alameda soon:
“It is with very mixed emotions that I share this information with all of you. The Alameda City Council verbally gave me an offer to become their next City Manager and they will be considering a contract for me on January 19th.
“I wanted to announce my hiring to you before it became public, but unfortunately the Contra Costa Times reported on it this morning. I wasn’t looking to leave Moraga, however the challenges and opportunities in Alameda seem right for me since Moraga is so well positioned for a strong and positive future, thanks in large part to all of your work formally and informally for the community.
“I feel so fortunate to have been able to spend the last five years working with each of you. Moraga is a special place and although we probably each have days when we may have felt frustrated, I can honestly say that you have helped me enjoy every single day in Moraga. Together I think we have been able to enhance the Town and continue the good work that was done previously and that will continue in the years to come.”
