Our recent freeze has been hard on our underground water pipes and cisterns, with another breaking on Lucy Lane between Saranap Ave. and Kendall Court in unincorporated Walnut Creek Friday night.
Residents watched as water sprayed upwards through a crack in the street.
East Bay Municipal Utilities District crews moved in to make a fix but water to several homes in the area had to be shut off. Residents report that their street is currently being dug up and that officials estimate repairs will be completed by morning.
