Walnut Creek police are looking for a man they say donned a ski mask and pulled a gun while robbing an Ygnacio Valley Road gas station Wednesday morning – and investigators believe the same man is responsible for similar crimes in Redwood City and San Leandro.

In a release issued by the department, police Lt. Lanny Edwards wrote that the suspect, described as an adult male (possibly Asian), 30 years old, 5′ 9″, stocky build, wearing black sweatshirt, blue jeans and a full face ski mask, entered the Valero station at 605 Ygnacio Valley Road at 4:35 a.m. Wednesday and brandished a pistol.

Edwards said officers arrived within a minute of receiving a call for help from the station and set up a perimeter, bringing in a canine team to track the suspect – who was last seen running south on foot – but were unable to locate him.

Police asked anyone with information about the suspect or the crime is encouraged to call WCPD Detective Jeha at (925) 256-3518.
