Goat Herd Giving Moraga’s Painted Rocks A Little Trim

That fabled goat herd – which has neatly chewed several local hillsides down to the nub and gotten out for at least one notorious foray into the residence of a surprised Pebble Beach homeowner – is giving Moraga’s trademark Painted Rocks a little trim around the edges.

Bemused residents have been “goat watching” over their morning Starbucks and some newbies among us have expressed fear that the herd may decide to breech the fences at Rheem Blvd. and Moraga Road and take off for another little excursion.

We are assured, however, that the herdsman – never far from the herd but unfortunately not carrying one of those crooked staffs that have come to symbolize his profession – is in complete control and that this group of goats is contentedly nibbling away on its designated acreage.

  1. Goats are fun and they make good fertilizer!! Had several on our family ranch and miss them!
