Local cowboys and cowgirls will be happy to learn that the anticipated opening of Dover Saddlery in Moraga is expected in two weeks or so with initial reports that their future space at 440 Center Street brimming with hope for the future of the high-end saddlery.
The business is expected to be a draw to riders from outside the immediate area, as well.
Less merry news evolves around the projected opening of a new Moraga Produce store, also at Rheem Center, and operated by an East Bay family who projected in early September that they’d be opening their doors “in a couple of weeks.”
Uh, no.
Turns out there was more to untangle after the previous tenant’s tenure at the site and co-owners Izzy Ahmed and Gapir Fasail were stalled for months, closing some of the seven supermarkets they owned from Oakland to Sunnyvale before bringing their business to Moraga.
What happened to the produce store? We thought they were advertising with you??

Of course. The long and short of it is that we support local businesses and that most are worthy of that support… others, however, are not.
