Danville police and deputies from the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Valley station have suspended their search for a man who robbed the Town & Country Cleaners, 3204 Danville Blvd. in Alamo Friday.
Police said the suspect entered the cleaners at around 7:30 a.m., produced a small, semi-automatic pistol and forced a worker to the rear of the store before taking money from the till and escaping on foot. The suspect was also last seen carrying a white dress shirt with pinstripes – it was not immediately known if he brought the item into the store or took the shirt on his way out.
Alamo residents lit up the NEWS24-680 Tip Line as officers and a police canine team flooded into the area in search of the armed robber.
The store clerk was not harmed during the robbery.
SUSPECT DESCRIPTION:
White or Hispanic male, shaved head, slight build, 5′ 5″-tall, 160 to 170 pounds, and carrying a white dress shirt with pinstripes. Weapon: black semi-automatic pistol.
The asshat stole a dress shirt? Must be a corporate drone.
Maybe he was late for work and needed a fresher.
Broad daylight and in the busiest part of town. These people aren’t afraid of very much are they?
