Scary moment during the Acalanes vs. Analy high football game in Lafayette last night after a player reportedly suffered a medical episode after a hard hit during the game. He was taken to hospital by ambulance after complaining of head pain.

Concerned Acalanes players and fans have asked about him and we’ll try to flesh out his condition.

And that scary moment led to several others on southbound I-680 south of Bollinger early Saturday after after a three-car crash involving a big rig. All lanes of the freeway were blocked shortly after the 6:23 a.m. crash when the big rig caught fire and the CHP and Valley Fire called out extra personnel to help clear the scene and clean up an oil spill from the tractor trailer. Foam was used to help put out the engine fire.
