Carjackers Escape After Robbery In Pleasant Hill, Police Pursuit in East Oakland Wednesday

Our colleagues at Claycord fleshed out a story we brought you early last night:

A woman was carjacked in Pleasant Hill on Wednesday night just after 8pm, according to Pleasant Hill Police.

The crime occurred in the parking lot of Dick’s Sporting Goods in the Crossroads Shopping Center when the two suspects approached the victim as she was exiting her vehicle.

The suspects took the keys from the victim’s pocket and fled with the vehicle.

The suspects were located at about 10pm driving the vehicle in East Oakland, however, they immediately fled from police, abandoned the vehicle, and ran away. Despite a search, the suspects were not located.

The suspects are described as:

Suspect #1 – White male adult, early 20’s, thin build, last seen wearing a white shirt, blue jeans and a hat.

Suspect #2 – Black male adult, early 20’s, thin build, last seen wearing a dark colored jacket w/hood and dark pants.

  1. Carjacking is scary. We’re all at risk, anytime we’re driving. I hope they catch these two.

  2. Am I wrong or is the current crime trend to drive into Walnut Creek or close by, rob someone or steal from their car or house and then run back to Oakland?
