Lafayette Police Logs: PD Addresses Traffic Woes

A series of accidents in Lafayette and environs in recent weeks attracted the attention of police, who have been hard at work trying to lower speeds and attempting to restore calm to our often frenetic roads.

If you were one of the unlucky ones who attracted the attention of traffic officers this week, our sympathies, but it is clear police are attempting to put their resources where they will do the most good.

Here’s a breakdown of crimes handled by the men and women of the Lafayette PD last week that weren’t speed related:

Auto Theft

  • August 26 – 2:12 p.m., Pleasant Hill Road/Eastbound Highway 24

Auto Burglary

  • August 24 – 4:53 p.m., 1400 block of Sunset Lp.
  • August 25 – 8:25 a.m., 3100 block of Stanley Blvd.

Forgery

  • August 26 – 11:17 a.m., (Arrest made) Bank of America

Hit And Run

  • August 26 – 4:40 p.m., 1000 block of Windsor Dr.

Drug Violation

  • August 27 – 12:41 p.m., Acalanes High School

Petty Theft From Car

  • August 27 – 1:20 p.m., 600 block of Glorietta Blvd.
