We’ve been answering calls and emails all morning relative to the pall of thick smoke settling in valleys throughout the 24/680 – the good news is that nothing is burning here.

The smoke, originating from the Jerusalem fire and others in the northern part of the state, have been held in place by atmospheric conditions and a lack of offshore breeze and prompted DOZENS of inquiries to this site and local fire departments, with readers convinced something was aflame.

Cutting to the chase: Everything is okay, nothing is burning, but it’s smoky out there and it is going to heat up so it might be wise to limit your exposure.
