LifeLong Urgent Care of San Pablo has expanded its hours to 10 a.m, – 8 p.m., Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, based on demand. The new hours will take effect on August 17, 2015. LifeLong offers high-quality medical services for walk-in non-emergency needs. This is made possible by a $2 million dollar grant secured by Assemblymember Tony Thurmond, to better serve the community.
LifeLong has been working with the West Contra Costa Healthcare District, Contra Costa County Health Services, Hospital Council members Kaiser Permanente and John Muir, as well as other health providers to develop plans to ensure that residents in the West Contra Costa County community continued to receive the urgent care services they need.
Thus, in an effort to meet a portion of the medical needs in the community, brought on by the closure of Doctors Medical Center on April 21, 2015, LifeLong Medical Care added urgent care services at LifeLong Brookside Health Center. We’re located at 2023 Vale Road in San Pablo, right across the street from Doctor’s Medical Center.
Dr. Desmond Carson, emergency room physician for Doctor’s Medical Center for more than a decade, serves as clinical lead at LifeLong’s Urgent Care – San Pablo, heading an experienced staff which includes many who have served Doctors’ Medical Center patients for years. Men, women, youth, seniors and families in need will see many familiar faces at the site.

LifeLong Medical Care is an innovative, non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center serving Alameda, Contra Costa and Marin Counties since 1976. The organization provides medical, dental and social services to patients of all ages.
