UPDATE: 9:58 p.m. – Police have been summoned to the Alamo Safeway store at 200 Alamo Plaza after patrons report a man answering Mr. Archer’s description at that location. Walnut Creek police have been notified and are en route to confirm the sighting. Mr. Archer is in good shape.
Walnut Creek police have officers and a helicopter up in their search for Lee Archer, a 74-year-old local man with dementia who has walked away from family and friends.
Lee is known to walk Rudgear Park and the surrounding area, police say. If you see him, please stay in contact with him and call police using 911.
