Final day of the Rangoli Art Walk in San Ramon – where the colorful work of local artists
will be on display for all to see. An ancient form of Indian folk art, Rangoli are colorful designs traditionally created on the floors of courtyards and living rooms during Hindu festivals.
Meant to bring good luck, the patterns are created using colored rice, flour, sand and flower petals.
Natural colorings such as vermilion and turmeric are used to create vibrant geometric shapes, floral patterns or images of deities.
