Relatives of a man killed early Sunday morning on eastbound Highway 24 returned to the scene of the crash Monday to lay flowers and other items, causing a few anxious moments for California Highway Patrol officers.
Relatives of Andrew Tanner, 24, of San Francisco returned to the general location where he died just before 3 a.m. Sunday to place flowers on the spot, triggering reports from motorists of people running in the center divide at about 8 p.m. Monday.
At least three women were seen running in the center divide of the highway, leaving flowers and other items before getting into a waiting car and driving off.
I can understand wanting to establish a memorial. But, putting your own life at risk to do so makes no sense.
Ugh I was driving home that night and saw this accident right after it happened. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since 🙁 rest in peace.
We understand completely…
So sorry. My condolances and God bless.
