A rainy day in The Numbers included a series of auto accidents, falling trees, and some relatively minor power outages as those trees snagged power wires and brought them down with them.
For some reason the morning Bermuda Triangle of accidents centered in Central Lafayette, kicking off when an 88-year-old man lost control of his pickup on the Central Lafayette on-ramp and requiring an extended extrication procedure by ConFire

firefighters.
The unidentified victim was being taken by ground ambulance to John Muir Medical Center when another crash, a rollover accident which ended with the car on its wheels a little farther along westbound Highway 24, was reported.
The driver of that car, too, had to be extricated by ConFire firefighters.
For some reason people tend to lose all common sense when it rains. I try not to drive during peak hours because its like Krazy Kars out there. Glad no one appears seriously hurt in any of these crashes.
680 was hyper crazy this morning!
Woohoo! .24 inch! I can turn off the sprinks for a few days.
It was very pleasant, wasn’t it? We filled all the cisterns and every last bucket we had available until next time!
