San Ramon police called for a little air support after a group of suspected burglars broke into a home on Rustic Place Wednesday – sparking a few frantic moments as the men fled the scene as police arrived and drove off in a waiting car into the surrounding neighborhood.
San Ramon Police Lt. Denton Carlson said the incident kicked off at 1:10 p.m. Wednesday as officers responded to an in-progress residential burglary on Rustic Place. As officers were responding, the resident told dispatchers the suspects had broken the rear window of the residence and were actually inside the home.
Carlson reported the first responding officer was in the area within two minutes of being dispatched, observing a suspicious BMW with a woman in the driver’s seat texting near the residence as the officer approached.
Two suspects fled the location as the officer approached the home and the initial responding officer saw the BMW fleeing the area. Other officers were able to locate the BMW and detained the driver and two passengers. The two passengers in the BMW were positively identified as the suspects in the burglary.
All three involved individuals were arrested and booked at the Martinez Detention Facility for the charges listed below.

Yes!!
Women are better drivers…..
Seems to be the thing now. Get the girlfriend to drive, bring your homies to help rob the home. We’re a little tired of it.
Throw away the key.
Nothing for you to steal down in Riverside?
Saw the helicopter and wondered. Seems to have gotten worse lately no??
Nice catch!
Quick work by police. If that homeowner is smart there will be a big cake and coffee on the way to the PD in a day or so. That could have ended a lot differently.
Hoping no one gets hurt during one of these things. apparently the home owner was present at the time these people broke in.
