MARTINEZ: Robbers Hit Local Subway Store

Martinez police said the Subway outlet at 584 Center Ave. was robbed by two men Monday, one of the men reportedly brandishing a gun.

An employee called police to report two men entered the store at 7:36 p.m., one suspect pointing a gun at the employee and demanding money from the cash register. The suspect took the money out of the cash register as the second suspect walked into the back of the store with the employee. The second suspect took money from another part of the store, police said. Both suspects fled on foot, were seen getting into a silver colored four door Honda Civic and were last seen towards Highway 4.

Police said the amount of money taken was not immediately known. There were no reported injuries.   

Suspect Descriptions:

Suspect #1 was describe as a WMA in his early 20’s wearing a black beanie, black colored hoodie,  tan khaki shorts and black shoes. The suspect was armed with a silver colored semi automatic handgun. 

Suspect #2 was described as a WMA in his early 20’s wearing a black and green colored Sharks baseball hat, grey zip up jacket, blue jeans and grey colored shoes. It is unknown if suspect #2 was armed.
