Our current trend upward in auto and residential burglaries appears to have continued again last week, despite the high-profile arrests of a burglary crew from Concord.

As we’ve been told a thousand times “lions like to hunt where the deer are fattest,” and that, apparently, means folks living in the 24/680 Corridor – who are not happy about being singled out, or so we hear.

Here’s a breakdown of major incidents on the Danville PD crime blotter for last week. Hopefully, you weren’t on it:

Residential Burglary

  • May 10 – 10:48 a.m., 100 block of Alta Vista Way
  • May 11 – 10:16 p.m., 500 block Sycamore Cr.
  • May 13 – (Commercial Burglary), 8:13 a.m., 1300 block El Capitan Dr.
  • May 14 – (Contact made), 1000 block of Diablo Rd.

Auto Burglary

  • May 12 – 11:54 a.m., 200 block Ashley Cr.
  • May 14 – 8:06 a.m., 400 block La Gonda Way
  • May 14 – 9:26 a.m., 100 block Amigo Rd.

Grand Theft

  • May 10 – 2:39, 70 block St. Timothy Ct.

Drugs

  • May 13 – (Forged prescription), 5:31 p.m., Walgreens
