SAN RAMON: Rare – And Literal – Strong-Arm Carjacking Wednesday

SHARE
Moraga police are investigating two residential burglaries in town last week.

A San Ramon man lost his Mercedes to two thieves in a bizarre – and rare – incident in the Valley Wednesday.

Police say the unidentified motorist was in his Mercedes SUV on Windemere Parkway at Camino Tassajara at 10:54 p.m. Wednesday when two men reportedly stepped in front of the vehicle, opened the driver’s-side door and pulled him from his seat.

The motorist was abandoned on the spot and could only watch as his car was driven away. He described his assailants as two Hispanic men in their 30s. No weapons were seen and the victim was unharmed during the incident.

  1. Doesn’t ‘smell’ right. Pretty sure Mercedes auto locks doors as soon as you move and doesn’t unlock when you stop at traffic light. So how exactly did they open the door?

  2. Didn’t you guys right about another one of these out in about the same place several months ago? Didn’t they use a car in that one to stop the target car?

  3. There does seem to be someone paying attention to this area. I don’t know if it’s because they think were soft or what. Will be watching to see how this turns out.
