Plucked from our Events Calendar this week was a listing for an evening of music at the Mt. Diablo Unitarian Universalist Church – at their Devil Mountain Coffee House to be precise.
Carlos Reyes, described as a “Santana meets the Gipsy Kings” master of the Paraguayan harp and violin, is on hand with friends to offer their fusion of Blues, Rock, Jazz, Latin and Classical styles.
Reyes has shared the stage with a long list of musical superstars such as Steve Miller, The Doobie Brothers, Clint Black, Chuck Mangione, Charlie Daniels, Wynona Judd, Willie Nelson, legendary slide guitarist Roy Rogers and many, many others. Most recently Carlos performed at The White House alongside Gloria Estefan, trumpet master Arturo Sandoval, and Mexican artists Lila Downs and Marco Antonio Solis.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Show from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. A donation at the door is suggested and advance ticketing is available at the church website.
