Martinez police are investigating a fatal accident at Morello Ave. near Highway 4 Friday evening.
Investigators said an unidentified man, described as in his 60s, was struck and killed at 8:22 p.m. by a motorist who remained at the scene and who is cooperating fully with officials.
The collision is being investigated by the Central County Major Accident Investigation Team, comprised of officers from the Martinez, San Ramon, and Walnut Creek Police Departments. The cause of the collision is still currently under investigation.
