MARTINEZ: Eleven-Year-Old Stable After School Stabbing

SHARE

A Martinez Junior High School student was listed in stable condition Thursday after he was stabbed by another student in an apparently unprovoked attack.

The alleged assailant, described only as a 13-year-old boy, was later taken into custody without incident and was booked into Juvenile Hall on charges of assault with a deadly weapon.

His alleged victim, police said, was just 11-years-old. The boy was transported to a local trauma center by helicopter for a stab wound to his back and his injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

No motive for the attack was provided and Martinez police said their investigation into the incident is ongoing.

  1. Give me 10 mins with the perps teachers and I’ll let you know if he would be a candidate for euthanasia.

  2. Not enough details to make a complete determination. Was the 13-year-old being bullied? If so, I don’t blame bullied kids for fighting back.

Did the school know the 13-year-old had a propensity for violence and wasn’t properly supervising him? If so, school officials aren’t responsible for the 13-year-old’s criminal actions but they are responsible for not keeping the 11-year-old safe.
