DIABLO: Cyclist Injured In Saturday Hit-And-Run

A bicyclist suffered facial injuries and a possible broken wrist after an encounter with a motorist Saturday morning, according to police. Officers said the car involved left the scene and is being sought.

Fire and police were summoned to Diablo Road and Alameda Diablo near Diablo Country Club around 9:30 a.m. after the call of a cyclist down and in the road was received.

The unidentified cyclist was evaluated and treated by firefighters at the scene before he was transported to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek.
