Thieves entered a Donald Drive home while the resident was away on vacation and made off with an estimated $10,000 worth of the homeowner’s belongings. The theft was discovered when the unlucky resident returned home Jan. 21, police said.
Officers were dispatched to a home in the 100 block of Donald at 1 p.m. on Jan. 21 and determined that the thief or thieves had gained access to the residence by forcing open a side garage door. The theft is believed to have occurred sometime between Jan. 14 and the date the theft was discovered.
Police said a full inventory of items taken is being made. The case remains under investigation.
