DANVILLE: Armed Robberies, Burglaries Kick Off The New Year

Two armed robberies, one on the street outside Crow Canyon Country Club, burglaries and other criminal deeds comprise a week’s worth of crime news in Danville. Did you make the blotter? Let’s hope not.

Officers were kept busy handling the usual incidents encountered during a day on the beat – plus a few “heavier” crimes we don’t see as often. How are things going for you out there?

Armed Robbery

Jan. 6, 11:36 a.m. – Armed Robbery on El Capitan outside the Crow Canyon Country Club. Police report the 19-year-old victim was driving on El Capitan when a black Toyota truck pulled ahead of his car, stopped and an armed man in a ski mask got out and demanded the motorist’s ATM card at gunpoint. No injury, no other loss.

Jan. 9, 7:56 p.m. – Armed Robbery w/Arrest Made on Greenbrook Dr. and Sycamore Valley Rd.

Jan. 5, 8:40 a.m. – Miscellaneous burglary, 100 block of Pulido Road.

Jan. 6, 8:04 a.m. – Commercial burglary, 700 block of Camino Ramon.

Jan. 6, 10:57 a.m. – Commercial burglary, 100 block Town and Country Dr.

Jan. 7, 8:14 p.m. – Residential burglary, 20 block of Woodside Dr.

Jan. 8, 3:05 p.m. – Residential burglary, 100 block of Merano St.

Auto Burglary

Jan. 4, 9:05 a.m. – 20 block of Stone Ct.

Jan. 4, 4:58 p.m. – 100 block of Greenbrook Ct.

Jan. 5, 10:36 a.m. – 300 block of Diablo Rd.

Jan. 6, 8:15 a.m. – 100 block of Plaza Cr.

Jan. 10, 7:17 a.m. – 400 block of Clipper Hill Rd.

Grand Theft

Jan. 5, 10:56 a.m. – 700 block, Old Farm Rd.
