A memorial service for 20-year-old Vaibhev Loomba, the Acalanes High School graduate found dead in a Berkeley fraternity house Nov. 9. has been scheduled for Saturday in Walnut Creek. Those attending are asked to wear white rather than traditional mourning black.
Loomba was a student at the University of California, Davis, at the time of his death. His family made their home in Antioch but Loomba’s ties to Lafayette remained strong. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Mt. Diablo Unitarian Universalist Church, 55 Eckley Lane, in Walnut Creek.
Loomba was found dead the morning after a party at the Zeta Psi fraternity house in Berkeley Sunday morning after attending a party there with friends. The cause of his death has not yet been officially determined.
