“Danville residents file papers for town council bid.

Three Danville residents have formally announced their intent to run for two seats opening on their town council later this year. Two of the three are veteran council members.

The required period for filing nominating papers ended at close of business Friday. The field of candidates vying for one of two seats available in November includes local businessman Tony Adamich and incumbents Robert Storer and Karen Stepper.

Ballot order for the trio will be decided at 11 a.m. on August 14. California Secretary of State Debra Bowen will conduct a random drawing of the alphabet and the candidate’s names will be arranged on the ballot in accordance with that selection.
