Sheriff’s investigators are asking for public help in locating a burglar they say stole $12,000 in electronics, utensils and jewelry from a home in the 500 block of Neely Court in Alamo earlier this month.

Detectives said the thief, described as a younger white male driving a black SUV – possibly a Honda CR-V – entered the residence through a rear window on July 5. He is also believed responsible for a string of other recent burglaries, reported by NEWS24-680 on our Facebook page.

Anyone with information on the case or the identity of the suspect is asked to call the Investigation Division at (925) 313-2647. For any tips, please email here or call (866) 846-3592 to leave an anonymous voice message.

The Office of the Sheriff urges residents to always lock their doors and windows, have a home alarm system and report any suspicious people or vehicles to their local law enforcement agency.
