A 17-year-old Acalanes High School junior died Friday at home after an apparent drug overdose. News of his death was conveyed to students and parents in a message from principal Aida Glimme.

In a message sent to parents Saturday, Glimme wrote of the death of junior Liam Clark, saying: “With this tragic loss, our thoughts are with Liam’s family and friends.”

School counselors and additional counselors have been called in to speak with any student desiring counseling when school resumes Monday morning, Glimme wrote.
