The Town of Danville and the San Ramon Valley Unified School District (SRVUSD) are offering a cash reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for the recent threatening graffiti spray-painted near Charlotte Wood Middle School.
The graffiti, written in the creek bed adjacent to the school’s entrance, threatened harm to unidentified people on May 8, 2014. The Danville Police Department and the School District have continued to investigate the incident, and are asking for the community’s help in identifying the individual(s) responsible.
“This person may think that what they did was a simple prank,” said Police Chief Steve Simpkins. “But the reality is they threatened the safety of people in our community and we do not take that lightly.”
In an effort to assist in the investigation, the Town of Danville and SRVUSD are offering a joint reward of $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the culprit.
“This situation has caused a lot of anxiety in our community,” said SRVUSD Superintendent Mary Shelton. “It is our hope that by offering this reward, someone in the community with information will come forward and help us bring this situation to a close.”
