Police from two local agencies are sharing information after a Danville business owner was robbed at gunpoint in the driveway of her Clayton home, apparently by thieves who may have followed her home.
The unidentified business owner was not injured when she was confronted by three men who suddenly drove up as she was exiting her car on Windmill Canyon Drive in Clayton. The men, at least two wearing ski masks and one brandishing a pistol, took the woman’s purse, computer and jewelry. News24-680 is withholding the name of her business until security precautions can be taken there and at her home.
Details remain sketchy but an initial description of the car used in the holdup was either a dark Lexux SUV or a Toyota Sequoia with a rooftop spoiler. Two of the men seen were black males, dressed in dark clothing. The one who approached the victim and showed her a black handgun was described as tall.
Clayton Police Chief Chris Thorsen confirmed the details as we had them on Tuesday, saying investigators are looking for the perpetrators of this crime. No additional details or description was given.
