The 2nd Annual Walnut Creek International Short Film Festival (WCIsFF) opens Friday, May 2nd with an incredible lineup of short films from across the globe, featuring select entries from Tribecca, Cannes, Sundance and other top festivals.
As Walnut Creek’s only film festival dedicated to short films, WCIsFF showcases brilliant filmmaking in the short form – under 25 minutes – with the exploration of intriguing, thought-provoking and innovative films. Tickets go on sale April 1 at www.wcsff.com.
The WCIsFF, sponsored in part by the Walnut Creek Convention & Visitors Bureau, kicks off with the Red Carpet “Opening Night Screening & After-Party” and continues through Sunday, May 4. The festival honors filmmakers and their craft; with more than 16 short film screening blocks that feature every genre of film imaginable, plus industry guests, filmmaker panels and after-parties
Multiple screenings will be held daily May 2-4, at Century 14 Walnut Creek, with its All Stadium Seating and state-of-the-art digital presentation. Screening blocks include Make ‘em Laugh screening comedy shorts and The Ink & Paint Club in a tribute to animation shorts. The World Cinema block will feature the best in short foreign film and The Human Experience category will showcase a block of thought provoking, life-affirming films that resonate.
