Hard to imagine and even harder to report but it appears Moraga police are looking into an animal cruelty case in town – searching for the person who shot and seriously wounded a neighborhood Labrador with a pellet gun.
Moraga police who took the report determined that a Labrador belonging to a Wickham Drive family was found shot in the eye after roaming the neighborhood. Officers say the dog was shot on Feb. 4 between 3:15 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
The wound required surgery and caused extensive damage to the animal’s vision. Officers have so far been unable to determine where the animal was when it was hit and who may have opened fire on him.
Big vet bills, angry vet, and very upset dog owner. Any information, please pass it along to Moraga police.
