Kaiser Employee Robbed At Knifepoint

A Kaiser Walnut Creek employee was robbed by two men wielding a knife and baseball bat Wednesday in a parking garage adjacent to the facility, according to police. A third man was waiting behind the wheel of a getaway car.

A department press release reported that the robbery occurred at 11:34 p.m. in a garage at 1425 South Main Street. Investigators said the employee, it was not said if the victim was a man or woman, was confronted by the pair as they were attempting to get to their car. A knife and a baseball bat were exhibited. The release did not state what, if anything, was taken but it did say that the employee was robbed.

The two men, described as white males in their 20s, fled to a waiting silver colored four door SUV-type vehicle, possibly a Toyota Highlander, and sped off, according to police.

The suspects were described thusly:

No. 1: White male adult, 20’s, average height, average build. Suspect was wearing a black jacket with gray sleeves, black pants and white tennis shoes. Armed with a knife.

No. 2: White male adult, 20s, average height, average build. Suspect was wearing a dark colored jacket and a white hat. Armed with a bat.

No. 3: Unknown description.

Police said the employee was not injured during the robbery and that the investigation into the incident continues. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Walnut Creek Police Department at (925) 943-5844.
