Walnut Creek kicks off its yearlong centennial celebration with a nod to its Roaring Twenties roots with “Flappers & Flasks,” a night of live entertainment, dancing, cocktails and bites, casino games, prizes, hooch tastings and more.
The celebration is scheduled Fri., Jan. 24, 8 p.m. – midnight, at the Lesher Center for the Arts, 1601 Civic Drive, Walnut Creek. Strict prohibition-era rules will be enforced, but festive spirits will be available to those with the password. Speakeasy costumes welcome.
Tickets to the event are $100 per person (free to anyone 100 years old or older) and include one whiskey tasting. Tasting times and space are limited. For tickets, call 925-943-SHOW or visit WalnutCreek100.org.
