Memorial services for longtime Walnut Creek resident and career military man Robert M. Garrison will be held Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 1 p.m., Hull’s Walnut Creek Chapel, 1139 Saranap Ave., Walnut Creek.
Mr. Garrison passed away peacefully October 8. Born in Plainfield, NJ he grew up in Westfield, NJ, attending school in Valley Forge, PA and Norwich University, Vermont prior to joining the U.S. Army and serving in both the Korean and Vietnam wars.
He and his then wife, Letty, raised three daughters in Walnut Creek after his retirement as a Lt. Colonel. Mr. Garrison began a second career in real estatye during his time in Walnut Creek. He leaves three daughters and one son in law; Patricia Garrison of Danville, CA, Constance Garrison of Tampa, Fl, and Deborah and Michael Thompson of Incline Village, NV.
Mr. Garrison is also survived by his brother and sister in law William and Bobbi Garrison of Cameron Park, CA and Ben and Pat O’Neal of Fayetteville, GA, along with an extensive family of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Veterans Memorial of Danville.
