Get a close up look at how Lindsay Wildlife Museum’s animal keepers do their jobs at one of the museum’s new Saturday Keeper Workshops.
The two-hour workshops explore the world of the museum’s animals and their human caretakers close up. Young naturalists, ages 6-15, learn how animal keepers care for animals, clean enclosures, prepare diets, encourage exercise and activity, and train cooperative behaviors. Participants will be up close and personal with the animals.
Workshops are scheduled Saturdays, Sept. 28, 2013 (raptors) and Jan. 25, 2014, from 9 – 11 a.m. (mammals) at the Lindsay Wildlife Museum, 1931 First Ave., Walnut Creek, adjacent to Larkey Park.
Workshops are $35 for members and $45 for non-members.
