Lafayette’s Daniel Gilmore, son of Tom and Barbara Gilmore and the brother of Kara Gilmore, died suddenly on March 21 at the age of 23. Daniel was a senior student at the University of Oregon, where he was studying Economics, at the time of his death.
Born in Pasadena, Daniel moved to Lafayette with his family in 1991, attending Burton Valley Elementary School, Stanley Middle School, and Acalanes High School before moving to Oregon to attend school at the university – faithfully attending his school’s home football games and traveling to Pasadena with his father for the Duck’s winning Rose Bowl game in 2012.
A visitation has been scheduled for Friday, April 12 2013 at 7 p.m. for family and friends and a Celebration of Life and Funeral Mass for all on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 10 a.m. – both gatherings to be held at St. Perpetua’s Church, 3454 Hamlin Road in Lafayette.
In lieu of flowers his family asks that his many friends make a donation to the ‘Daniel Thomas Quinn Gilmore’ Memorial Fund. All contributions will be forwarded to a local charity.
