An Orinda man who died after he was found unconscious outside his residence hall at California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo will be memorialized during a service in Walnut Creek.
Brandon Huang, 20, was found unresponsive outside the Poly Canyon Village residence hall at 11:56 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9. Friends have said Huang was experiencing respiratory problems while at a large house party and was found outside, laboring to breathe. He collapsed outside his residence hall and was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead the following morning.
Huang, a popular student at Miramonte High School in Orinda, was a second-year Biology major at Cal Poly.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Hull’s Walnut Creek Chapel, 1139 Saranap Ave., Walnut Creek.
His family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Brandon’s name to a Cal Poly Biology Department Scholarship Fund.
