1924 – 2012
Danville resident Joseph J. “Joe” Noero died peacefully at his home November 30, 2012, surrounded by his family.
Born in San Francisco to Italian immigrant parents who came to this country from Northern Italy, Mr. Noero grew up in the Excelsior District of San Francisco, attending Corpus Christi parochial school and Balboa High before entering the U.S. Army Air Corps for service to his country during World War II.
Mr. Noero married the love of his life, Rena Cvitanich, and the couple had two children – Christine Powell and Ronald Noero.
He began a career in real estate but eventually turned to a wholesale plumbing and heating supply business he operated for 45 years. Mr. Noero was a member of the California Golf Club in South San Francisco, the South San Francisco Italian American Social Club, and the Elks Club in San Francisco and San Mateo. He was a parishioner of St. Isidore Catholic Church in Danville and St. Bartholomews in San Mateo.
A funeral mass is planned for noon Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012 at St. Bartholomews, at the corner of the Alameda and Crystal Springs Road, in San Mateo.
