Miniature World Thrives In Walnut Creek

Walnut Creek — Slow it down a little and take a train ride this Holiday Season.

Many residents of the 24/680 may not know that an entire community thrives in microcosm behind the walls of a non-descript building in Walnut Creek. In this world cricket wells drill for oil, planes fly under the support struts of the many trestle bridges, and very small people go about their daily lives while giants roam among them.

The attached video shows how the giant people navigate this miniature world (“everyone crawls”) and how much work goes into keeping the many train lines running on schedule.

What are you and the family doing this Holiday Season? The kids might enjoy a look into the valley’s not-so-distant past.
